Mahindra Cars 51000 monthly bookings and pending orders

According to Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar, ED and CEO of Mahindra and Mahindra’s Auto and Farm Business, the company now has 2.86 lakh order backlog, according to a recent media release on the Q2 results of FY24.

However, Mahindra continues now faces a new set of difficulties as a result of the enormous demand. The company’s unanticipated spike in demand has left them with a backlog of outstanding orders despite their increase in production abilities. The company had to reevaluate their manufacturing and delivery strategy because the rise in reservations greatly outpaced their production projections. At only 8%, the cancellation rate is in the single digits.

Based on our latest data and analysis, the carmaker presently has approximately 10,000 reservations for XUV 300 and 400, 70,000 for XUV 700, 76,000 for Thar, 11,000 for Bolero, and an astounding 1,19,000 for Scorpio (Scorpio N & Classic together).

Customers are reassured by the company that every attempt is being made to speed up production and delivery without sacrificing the high standards of quality and safety for which Mahindra Motors is known. The carmaker has stated that it will increase production capacity and streamline its supply chain in order to clear the backlog and guarantee prompt and effective delivery. The current surge in bookings is not just a triumph for Mahindra Motors but also a positive indicator of the consumer high demand and preference to Sports Utility Vehicles (SUV Cars) in the Indian Automotive Industry.

Mahindra Increased Market Share in SUV Cars

By the end of September, the carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra’s market share for SUV cars had increased to 19.9%. Mr. Rajesh Jejurikar went on to say that the business is confident about maintaining the revenue growth in the SUV market category.

The automaker also intends to release the XUV 400, a new product with improved performance and a sleeker overall design.
