BMW India has launched the all-new BMW iX1 Electric SUV on 28th September, 23 and the deliveries are expected to start from October month onwards. This SUV is based on the famous BMW X1, which was not just the brand’s best-selling luxury SUV in FY2023, but also the best-selling luxury car.
The BMW new electric SUV was sold out in the launch day itself as stated by Mr. Vikram Pawah, President of BMW Group India
BMW iX1 Electric SUV: Powertrain and Range Specifications
BMW iX1 is available in single variant which features the xdrive all-wheel drive technology and has a claimed range of 440km which utilizes the 66.4kWh battery pack. It produces a power of 308bhp with 494 Nm of max torque, the all-new iX1 highlights rapid acceleration which achieves 0-100 in 5.6 seconds
The BMW iX1 can be charged in 6.3 hrs from 0-100 using the standard 11kW AC Charger and with 130 kW fast charger it charges the car from 0-80 in 29 minutes. The battery pack also get straight 8-year or upto 160,000 kilometers warranty.
BMW iX1 Electric SUV: Interior & Exterior Looks
The BMW Electric SUV iX1 is based on the Internal combustion X1 which gets almost the same design and looks, marked with “I” badging on the front grille which makes it different from ICE vehicle. It is available in 4 colours namely – Black, Grey, Silver & White
The front look features the large iconic kidney grille with sleek and attractive headlamp setup. The rear profile consists of L-shape LED tail lamps with integrated spoiler and skid plate along with 18-inch alloy wheels makes the car look sportier and more appealing.
The inside of the SUV has a 10.7-inch touchscreen entertainment unit that is controlled by BMW’s iDrive operating system, as well as a 10.25-inch digital information display. The interiors are coated in Aluminum ‘Mesheffect’ with chrome highlight elements, and the rear bench reclines. The SUV has a large boot space of 490 litres.

The iX1 gets dual zone climate control, Harman Kardon 12 speaker sound system setup, front massager seats, panoramic sunroof and 6 mode ambient lighting. The SUV also gets automatic tailgate function, automatic LED headlamps and parking assist. The iX1 gets the same safety features as X1 such as ABS, ESP, traction control, 6 Air Bags and ADAS

- BMW iX1 Electric SUV comes with an attractive and affordable price point of ₹ 66.90 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). BMW iX1 is the most affordable car in the BMW luxury EV segment and the becomes the 4th Electric Vehicle in the entire BMW Electric vehicle lineup.
