The Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover has officially launched, setting a new benchmark in India’s electric motorcycle segment with its cutting-edge technology, robust performance, and advanced safety features.
Ultraviolette X-47 Crossover: Design & Build

The X-47 Crossover adopts an aggressive, fighter jet-inspired look with sharp lines and aerodynamic elements. It features an upright seating position for comfort during long rides, an adjustable windscreen for wind protection, Brembo brakes, and 200mm ground clearance, and robust build quality suited for urban commuting and light adventure touring. The bike’s frame incorporates aerospace-grade materials for durability and weight efficiency.
X-47 Crossover: Powertrain & Performance
Powered by a liquid-cooled 30 kW (40 HP) electric motor, the X-47 delivers a peak torque of 100 Nm at the motor and an outstanding 610 Nm at the rear wheel, thanks to the bike’s torque multiplication system. This powerful setup enables quick acceleration, touching 0-60 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, rivaling many petrol-powered motorcycles in the segment. The top speed is electronically limited to 145 km/h to balance performance and range. The adjustable riding modes help customize power delivery for comfort or sport riding.
Ultraviolette X-47: Battery & Range Options
The bike is available in three battery variants:
- 7.1 kWh battery: Offering an IDC-certified range of about 211 km, ideal for regular city commuting.
- 8.5 kWh battery: Extends range and offers more flexibility.
- 10.3 kWh battery: Providing up to 323 km of range on a single charge, enabling longer tours without worries about charging stops.
The batteries use advanced lithium-ion technology with smart thermal management to ensure performance stability and safety. Charging times vary from a few hours on fast chargers to overnight on standard home chargers.
Advanced Rider Assistance System (ADAS)
A technological highlight is the HyperSense radar system, a world first in motorcycles at this price point:
- Blind-spot detection
- Lane change assist
- Rear collision warning
- Overtake alert
These features use radar sensors to scan the environment around the motorcycle, significantly enhancing rider safety on busy roads.
Additional Features
- Dual Dashcam Setup: An option for 1080p front and rear cameras with a separate display for live and recorded footage.
- Smart Connect Features: The bike’s TFT display supports Bluetooth connectivity for navigation, call and message alerts, ride data, and app controls.
- Safety Components: High-performance Brembo brakes with ABS, adjustable suspension, and 200mm ground clearance allow handling both urban and uneven terrains.
- Security: The motorcycle includes GPS tracking and an anti-theft alarm system.
